ARISE+ Regional Event
ASEAN Regional Integration Support from the EU (ARISE) Plus in collaboration with the Indonesian Business Women Association (Ikatan Wanita Pengusaha Indonesia/IWAPI) organised a video conference to raise awareness on the existence, functioning and trade facilitation benefits of the two primary trade facilitation instruments developed by ASEAN with support from ARISE Plus, known as ASSIST (for Trade in Goods and Trade in Services) and the ATR.
ATR (ASEAN Trade Repository) is a trade facilitation tool developed by ARISE Plus that provides a single point of access to all the trade-related information of ASEAN Member States. ASSIST (ASEAN Solutions for Investments, Services and Trade) is a free, online, non-binding and consultative mechanism which can be used by ASEAN businesses to directly and autonomously interact with ASEAN Governments by lodging complaints in relation to intra-ASEAN cross-border trade issues.
ASSIST can be accessed directly on its own website (http://assist.asean.org) or via the website of the ASEAN Trade Repository (http://atr.asean.org).

Participants: Private sector (i.e., individual enterprises, trade associations, chambers of commerce, business councils, business federations, etc.), business-related media, and other relevant organisations such as academic institutions and lawyers’ organizations. Women and young entrepreneurs are strongly encouraged to participate in these events.
