From 1995 to 2017, the USA ranked as the 4th most frequent target of anti-dumping measures; and the 4th most affected by anti-dumping actions. The USA ranks the 8th most frequent initiator and imposer of safeguard measures.
Indonesian manufacturers have been the subject of many dumping and safeguard measures from the USA. For instance, in early April 2018, the USA confirmed steep anti-dumping and countervailing duties on Indonesian biodiesel imports.
This event aims to give the Indonesian government and industry a clear understanding of USA trade remedy laws, policies, practices, procedures, and investigation requirements, enabling them to respond more effectively to trade remedy investigations initiated by the USA.
