The fourth webinar series of Indonesia's Geographical Indication Show (IGIS) 2022 campaign will bring our culinary voyage to the border of Indonesia and Sarawak in North Kalimantan, where we will discover one of the local treasures with Geographical Indications, Adan Krayan Rice.

The webinar will discuss the importance of branding and packaging for rice products, especially with Geographical Indication certification, to attract domestic and international markets. The webinar features prominent speakers, namely: the Director of Export Development Cooperation for Primary Products, Ms Merry Maryati; ARISE+ Indonesia GI Branding and Promotion Expert, Ms Nurmala Martin; the Representative of Adan Krayan MPIG, Adrey Georgy; the Owner of Kaltara Rice, Ismail Mattalitti; and moderated by a local brand activist Dayang Melati.

IGIS 2022 is an initiative under the aegis of the Directorate General of Intellectual Property of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, supported by the EU-funded ARISE+ Indonesia, aiming to increase public awareness of Indonesian Geographical Indication products through roadshows at ten selected Geographical Indication sites. Promotional and campaign activities during the roadshows include a mini webinar series and culinary shows.
