Technical Assistance I

Ministry of Law and Human Rights c.q the Directorate General of Intellectual Property (DGIP), in collaboration with the Ministry of Trade and ARISE+ Indonesia, supported more than 20 selected Indonesian Geographical Indication (GI) products to participate in the SIAL InterFOOD expo, the world's number 1 food innovation network.

The GI products featured in SIAL InterFOOD include Kusamba Salt, Kulon Progo Jogja Coconut Sugar, Gayo Arabica Coffee, Atinggola Palm Sugar, Flores Manggarai Arabica Coffee, Flores Bajawa Arabica Coffee, Muntok White Pepper, Kakao Berau, Vanilla Alor, Java Preanger Tea, Moloku Kie Raha Clove, Sumbawa Honey, East Luwu Pepper, Bareh Solok Rice, Adan Krayan Rice, Krayan Mountain Salt, Koerintji Cinnamon, Minahasa Clove, Siaw Nutmeg, Tomandin FakFak Nutmeg, and Bali Amed Salt.

A Spicebiz talk show with the theme "Naturally Local, Naturally Sustainable", and a cooking show by food and flavour developer Chef Bara Pattiradjawane will enliven the Indonesian GIs showcase.

The talk show will present the Director of Trademarks and GI, Mr Kurniaman Telaumbanua, the Director of Export Development Cooperation for Primary Products, Ms Merry Maryati, and the Representative of Muntok White Pepper, Rafki Hariska, and moderated by GambaranBrand Founder, Arto Biantoro.
The participation of Indonesian GI products in the international trade promotional event aims to raise awareness of Indonesian GI products and foster better linkages to the markets.
