Technical Assistance I
Modern market surveillance is based mainly on risk assessment. Registration of dangerous products is a very intrusive instrument which can have significant consequences for a business. Therefore, a decision to categorize a product as dangerous must be based on a careful calculation of danger and probability. The EU has developed a method which is recommended for use in Indonesia.
The purpose of the workshop is thus to officially train officials of market surveillance of goods and services (PBBJ) in the use of the EU's method for risk assessment.
