ARISE+ Indonesia is the country-level intervention complementing ARISE+ (the ASEAN Regional Integration Support from the European Union), which supports the ASEAN Economic Community Blue-Print 2025.
They are different programmes that complement each other to improve the integration of all ASEAN Member States regionally and also globally. Country-level ARISE+ programmes exist in several ASEAN Member States.
ARISE+ Indonesia continues to provide support to enhance the results achieved by previous EU-funded programmes in Indonesia, such as the EU-Indonesia Trade Cooperation Facility which ended in 2016 and the EU-Indonesia Trade Support Programmes. ARISE+ Indonesia also covers new areas such as the EU-Indonesia CEPA.
ARISE+ Indonesia supports Government actions to attract private investments, facilitate international trade and improve the competitiveness of Indonesian enterprises to export on international markets, and in particular to use opportunities offered by the EU market.
The EU and Indonesia have many complementarities in terms of resources, markets and technologies. Huge potential exists to enhance trade and create new opportunities for export to new markets.
