Enhancement Programme Training for GI Associations (MPIGs)
The Enhancement Programme (EP) is a tailor-made capacity development package aimed at empowering GI associations and providing them with the basic skills and tools to consistently deliver and position quality GI products on the market.
The EP will comprise in two training sessions and one-to-one technical support. The first four-day training in July will focus on leadership, organisational strengthening, business and marketing plan development. The session will also examine how an internal control plan may contribute to quality and the importance of traceability. At the end of the course, participants will receive an assignment to develop a project. Each GI association will present their project during the second session to be held in August and which will explore potential business partnerships and networking.
The EP will also serve as a peer-to-peer learning platform among the MPIGs, and a networking forum with the national institutions for future support and cooperation.
