The new wave of COVID-19, fuelled by the highly infectious Delta variant, prompted the reintroduction of restriction and lockdowns around the globe to suppress the rate of COVID-19 cases. The restrictions have caused the decline in economic activity and put pressure on the economic growth and recovery in Indonesia and globally.

The Directorate of Macro Planning and Statistical Analysis of the Ministry of National Development Planning (Bappenas), with support from ARISE+ Indonesia, organises the Global and Indonesian Economic Outlook Webinar. Tom Rogers and Sung-Eun Jung, the Economists for Oxford Economics, will present the global economic outlook and the implications for Asia and Indonesia. Dr Aviliani, the Senior Researcher for INDEF, will discuss the strategies and policies to achieve Indonesia's 2021 goals.

This webinar is expected to strengthen macroeconomic planning analysis for development planning.

Date: Friday, 20 August 2021
Time: 09:30 - 11:45 (GMT+7)
Venue: Zoom
