Understanding GVCs is important for devising country strategies on sustainable development, trade governance, resilience, and successful integration into the global economy. However, the complexities of GVCs can be a challenge for policy makers.

The specific objective is to improve the skills of MoT trade policy analysts, and negotiators deepening their analytical skills on Global Value Chains, especially through the use of the Trade in Value Added (TiVA) database.
