Accreditation bodies must continuously adapt their services to market demand, and if new needs arise, accreditation schemes must be developed to meet these needs. In many countries, there has been a demand for GLOBAL G.A.P (Good Agricultural Practices) certification, which requires the involvement of the National Accreditation Body. In Indonesia, GLOBAL G.A.P certification is not offered to the market, and there is no clarity on whether there is a demand.
The purpose of this Focus Group Discussion (FGD) is to determine whether there is a demand so that KAN (National Accreditation Committee) can take the necessary steps to be approved to offer GLOBAL G.A.P accreditation. Key stakeholders such as certification bodies, relevant ministries and KAN staff with expertise in agriculture, livestock and aquaculture are invited to discuss the need based on a presentation made by an International expert in GLOBAL G.A.P.
